Current approach

GutterLore uses semantic text and headings, accessible button names, keyboard focus indicators, content warnings, larger touch targets, and reduced-motion support for decorative effects. The story reader has text-size and reading-surface options, and interactive paths can be navigated with buttons.

These features do not amount to a guarantee of compliance with any particular accessibility standard. We have not completed an independent accessibility audit for all browsers, operating systems and assistive technologies.

Known limitations

Some grunge textures, cover illustrations, authored story formatting and third-party login components may be harder to use for some visitors. Story authors control their text content, and the publisher cannot guarantee every submission meets accessibility best practices.

The service is actively being tested and improved, especially on smaller screens and keyboard-only navigation.

We aim to investigate reproducible issues and prioritize barriers to reading, publishing and account access.
