Who operates the service
GutterLore is operated and published by Syndicate Hub LLC. This company is the public point of contact responsible for the privacy practices described in this notice.
Privacy and personal-data requests can be sent to syndicatehubllc@gmail.com or through the GutterLore Contact page. The company's website is https://syndicate-hub.com; the storytelling service is at https://gutterlore.app. These are separate websites. A physical postal address has not yet been published here, so jurisdictions requiring one may require further information.
The data we handle
When you register, we keep your email, display name, password hash, account role and dates recording your age and terms acknowledgements. We do not store your raw password. Authors supply titles, stories, choices, genre, content warnings, pen names and a selected platform cover.
Your bookmarks, reactions, copyright and safety reports, support inquiries and account actions are stored to provide the service. Hosting providers process technical information needed to secure and serve requests; their operational logs may contain IP addresses, browser characteristics and request information.
What is public and what is private
When you publish, readers can see the story, paths, pen name, selected cover, content warning and public reaction count. Your account email, private drafts, saved-story list, manually saved reading routes, moderation reports and contact inquiries are not published as public profile information.
As you read, your choices are handled in the browser. If you explicitly press Save My Place, we store that story and the chosen passage sequence in your private account so you can resume on another device. You may clear each saved route in My Shelf. Sending a story or path link makes that link available to anyone you share it with.
Purposes and infrastructure
We use the data to run accounts, enable writing and reading, send requested password resets, maintain bookmarks and reactions, handle safety or copyright complaints, troubleshoot problems and protect against abuse.
The app uses Floot hosting, a managed database, authentication, static image storage and email infrastructure. Floot's built-in analytics processes page paths, referrers, browser language, user-agent and approximate timezone-derived region; the session identifier is held in memory rather than being stored on your device. We currently do not use third-party behavioral-advertising trackers or sell account data.
Sessions and analytics choices
A secure, HTTP-only first-party session cookie is necessary to stay signed in. The built-in visitor analytics is configured not to persist an analytics session identifier in browser storage. Session cookies expire, and logging out clears the session. See the Cookie Notice for more detail.
Other services and your browser may store ordinary technical cache data, which is separate from marketing cookies. If our practices change, we will update this notice and provide additional controls where legally required.
Export, correction and deletion
Open Account Bunker to download your data as JSON, including authored passages, manually saved reading routes, reactions, bookmarks, reports and contact requests. Authors can edit or delete their stories; you can remove your saved routes, bookmarks and likes. Most users can delete their accounts directly. The sole remaining site administrator must arrange a secure handover before deleting the controller account.
Deleting an account removes its login, authored stories, reading routes, bookmarks, reactions and submitted reports from the active database and removes matching contact requests. Public content previously copied elsewhere cannot be recalled. Limited backups, security records or legally required information may persist for some period; exact host retention is governed by its own policies. Contact the publisher to raise access, correction, removal or other privacy requests.
Age, security and international readers
This service is designed for people aged 16 or older, or a higher minimum applicable where you live. Registration asks users to attest eligibility; it does not independently verify age. If we learn a person ineligible for the service provided personal data, contact us to seek prompt removal.
We use scoped server-side access checks, authenticated actions, restricted writes and protected account sessions. No online system can promise perfect security. The service may be accessible internationally; local privacy rights and requirements may vary.
Updates and how to reach us
This notice describes the app as currently configured. Material changes in data collection or sharing require an updated notice and, when required, additional choices. Email syndicatehubllc@gmail.com or use the Contact page and select DATA / PRIVACY REQUEST to contact Syndicate Hub LLC about applicable privacy rights.
