The company behind GutterLore

GutterLore is a website and storytelling service published and operated by Syndicate Hub LLC. In these Terms, references to GutterLore, the publisher, we or us mean Syndicate Hub LLC in its role as operator of the service.

The official business contact is syndicatehubllc@gmail.com. The parent company's website is https://syndicate-hub.com. GutterLore's own public website is https://gutterlore.app. Questions and formal correspondence can be directed to that email or to the Contact page.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old, or the higher minimum age required in your location. Registration requires acceptance of these Terms and the Community Guidelines. You are responsible for protecting your password, truthful account details and activity under your account.

GutterLore offers interactive fiction and writing tools. Access, features, publication availability and moderation may change. Some content contains unsettling fictional themes; authors should provide relevant content notes.

Your original work and permissions

You retain any copyright you hold in original stories you create. By publishing, you grant GutterLore's publisher a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, display and distribute your content through GutterLore so readers can access it and share a link. You may remove your stories; the license ends on removal apart from limited technical backups, past sharing and legally necessary retention.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your writing. Do not copy protected stories, publish private information, impersonate real people, or make copyright or trademark claims you cannot support. You are responsible for rights in any material not supplied by GutterLore.

Provided art and story prompts

Platform cover templates, launch-collection stories, decorative graphics and Spark Machine fragments are provided as part of the app, some with AI assistance. You may select platform-provided covers for stories hosted here, but do not assume an exclusive copyright, off-platform commercial license or right to claim the platform's artwork as solely your own. Generated prompt combinations are inspiration, not a guarantee of originality or of intellectual-property clearance.

Readers are welcome to share links to published stories. You may not bulk copy or republish someone else's work without permission.

Community rules and enforcement

Follow the House Rules: no harassment, doxxing, hate, child sexual exploitation, threats, malicious links, unauthorized infringement or spam. Stories involving fictional violence or horror must not be used to target real people.

The publisher may hide, remove or restrict material following reports or direct discovery of violations. Repeat infringers may lose publishing access. Reports do not prove wrongdoing, and the publisher may assess context before taking action. For copyright claims and restoration requests, consult the Copyright Policy.

Privacy and your data

The Privacy Notice describes our data practices. You can download your personal data, remove authored content and request assistance. Necessary login cookies support authenticated functions. Account deletion is not reversible and cannot pull back copies already made outside the service.

Disclaimers and responsibility

The app provides fiction for entertainment, not professional advice. We cannot promise that published stories, external links or the service will always be available, uninterrupted, accurate, appropriate for every reader or free from defects.

To the extent allowed by applicable law, the publisher disclaims implied warranties and limits liability for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits protections or remedies that the law does not permit us to exclude.

Questions and updates

The public feed and creator tools are currently free. Any future purchase would need a clearly stated price and separate transaction terms.
