Make your own trouble
Experiment with strange premises, branching choices and unpredictable endings. Only publish work you have the right to share. Credit collaborators and avoid copying other people's books, characters, art or stories in ways that infringe their rights.
AI-assisted storytelling may be submitted, but don't misrepresent machine-assisted writing or provided cover templates as someone else's authentic personal work. The initial GutterLore Studio anthology uses AI-assisted material and is labeled as a house collection.
Horror is not a license to harm
Don't threaten, harass, stalk, impersonate or publish another person's private information. Hateful attacks against protected groups, sexual exploitation of minors and material instructing serious real-world harm are not permitted. Fiction is creative expression, but it cannot be used to target real individuals.
Add accurate content warnings for graphic violence, traumatic material, disturbing imagery or other sensitive themes so readers can decide what to engage with.
No spam or platform abuse
No phishing links, scams, fake engagement, unsolicited ads, automated submissions, account takeovers or attacks against the service. Do not attempt to evade access controls or flood reports to silence other authors.
Report and appeal
Use REPORT STORY under a public story for safety, harassment, hateful material, spam or intellectual-property concerns. Moderators may hide reported content while reviewing the situation; reports are not public. The Contact form is available for additional context, account appeals and copyright complaints.
If your story is hidden, do not simply republish a substantially identical copy to circumvent review. Contact the publisher with the story link and context.
Rules can evolve
Moderation is human-directed and cannot guarantee instant review of every submission. Serious and repeated violations can result in restrictions or removal. Updates should be posted here as the community grows.
